Like you, I have also built a writing practice on persistence but I was also inspired by the idea of “creative cross training” which I first encountered in Suleika Jaouad’s Substack. When I can’t write I do some other creative task and that seems to help.
I still struggle with the block, though. sometimes, I just don't understand where my fingers are moving. sometimes, it works like magic. long time, let's catch up over a gmeet soon :)
This is one of the most helpful posts i've come across. By the way, I wanted to thank you for inspiring me to join substack, and I really love your writing style, and this post, specially is so encouraging. Me being a writer, even after publishing two books, I still can't find my way, but I will be taking that effort to stay consistent and will focus on Showing up, no matter what :)
Having read both - Rishabh's article and yours I cannot help but share a quote I read somewhere - perseverance will beat talent every time. (Please correct me if I'm wrong)
Also, really intrigued by your end note - would love to read about your journey more :)
So real.
Thank you Shambhavi :)

I’m intrigued. I’ll look up for creative cross training.

Love the quote and I completely agree.
And for sure I’ll keep sharing about my journey :) Thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing my newsletter here Namrata. I am so glad to know that it was useful :)
I’m sure I’ll keep going back to it. It is truly insightful.
